How does Jaw Reduction / Masseter Botox work?
Small injections into selected masseter muscles temporarily reduce their activity. Over subsequent weeks, muscle bulk may decrease. The treatment does not reduce jawbone width or facial fat.
Who may be a candidate?
People with prominent masseter muscles may be candidates after a facial examination. Existing chewing problems, facial asymmetry and other conditions require special consideration.
What happens during treatment?
A clinician evaluates the masseter while you clench your teeth, maps the treatment area and discusses individualized dosing. Contour changes generally develop gradually rather than immediately.

Temporary bruising, tenderness, chewing fatigue, asymmetry or changes in smile can occur. This is an off-label cosmetic use.

How long does treatment last?
Botulinum toxin effects are temporary. Duration depends on the treatment area, dose and individual response; your clinician can discuss appropriate follow-up timing.
Will I need downtime?
Many patients resume usual activities soon after treatment, but you may experience temporary redness, tenderness or bruising. Follow the aftercare instructions provided at your visit.
